Lesson Overview

Dribbling towards defenders forces them to engage with the ball carrier and creates space for the offensive players to receive the ball and score. This lesson will teach students to engage defenders through the freeze dribble and introduce punch and stampede dribbling to create scoring opportunities.

Basketball Lesson: Denying

By adjusting the defensive positions, we can deny difficult players the ball and restrict the movement of the offensive team, making it difficult for them to create scoring opportunities. This lesson will introduce boxing out and teach players to deny specific players from receiving the ball.
