Performance Mindset
Using physical literacy as a foundation for learning, creating a life-long engagement with sport and physical activity.
Thinking in the curriculum allows students to focus on acquiring knowledge and understanding related to skills and sports. Important skills such as decision making encourages students to analyse situations, strategise and make informed choices.
Through the carefully structured lessons, students will develop fundamental movement skills and apply these skills to sport specific activities and games. As students refine movement with precision and control, they will simultaneously improve their physical fitness.
The cultivation of empathy and responsibility plays a pivotal role. Through empathetic understanding, students learn to consider the feelings of others, whether teammates, opponents, or community members, fostering a culture of inclusivity and mutual respect.
Through active participation in individual and collaborative activities, students will develop the skills required for successful teamwork and cooperation. Students will develop interpersonal skills, active listening and clear communication essential for effective interaction within teams.
