As the first term draws to a close, PE teachers finally reach a point they rarely get during the busy weeks. The chance to look up, breathe, and see the bigger picture.
By now, you know your students.
You have seen who thrives with structure, who needs reassurance, who quietly improves in the background, and who has potential they have not even noticed yet.
Term 1 is more than a set of lessons.
And if you read it carefully,

It is easy to fall into the trap of treating every new term like a reset button. New units, new activities, new challenges.
But if we start again without looking back, we miss one of the biggest opportunities we have as teachers.
The strengths, the habits, the gaps. These are not obstacles.

The end of Term 1 gives you something incredibly valuable.
Clarity about how your students learn.
Clarity about where they are heading.
Clarity about how to help them get there.
Instead of asking, What do I need to teach next
Try asking,
That small shift takes pressure away from planning and puts the focus back on purpose.
